- Now homebrew-php has been migrated to homebrew-core and by default, PECL should be installed along with your PHP. Here are the suggested steps: Reinstall PHP via: brew install php. Check pecl command by: which -a pecl. To see which files were installed, see: brew list php. To install PHP extensions, you need to use PECL as a recommended way.
- Is there any way to install PHP:s PECL handler on Mac OS X 10.6, to be used with the bundled PHP?
- Installing PECL on Mac OS X with Homebrew Aug 14, 2016. @IcyApril Recently, I needed to install the inotify extension for PHP in my Homebrew installation on my Mac; to my horror I learnt that Pecl wasn’t included.
- Install PECL extensions with Homebrewed PHP on Mac OS X Mountain Lion. Before you can install anything with pecl, you need autoconf. It helps to build in the environment with which we're working. Then a whole bunch of code garbage will fly past the screen.
- Linking against a bundle at build time is a cute trick that the GNU libtool script in the bundle's build tree can do but generally other programs can only load bundles at run time. Thge C library source also builds a static library, which the PECL extension COULD link in at build time, but it doesn't try that.

Can your Mac run macOS 10.14 Mojave?
Before you begin to download the macOS 10.14 Mojave, you should make sure your Mac can run the software. Apple has said that macOS 10.14 will run on every Mac released from 2012 onwards, which means if you have Macs from before then, you're out of luck.
